The better quality bedside drawers will have tongue and groove joints. The cheaper bedside cabinets are joined by glue with soft wood drawer bottoms. Unfortunately the bottoms tend to fall out of the drawers and to prevent this you will not be able to put heavier objects in the them. You will have to repalce them in a few years so it is always better to pay a bit more for a quality set of bedside cabinets to enhance your bedroom furniture as it will pay off in the long run.
